Fellah Köfte

Ingredients for Fellah Köfte Recipe

Köfte Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fine bulgur with meatballs
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Cumin

For Sauce:

  • 1,5 tea cups of olive oil
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic (can be reduced upon request)
  • 2 tablespoons pepper paste
  • 4 grated tomatoes

To decorate:

  • 1 Bunch of parsley
  • To cook meatballs:
  • 2 liters of water
  • Boil the water with a teaspoon of lemon salt and normal salt.

Making:

  1. All the ingredients given for the meatballs are kneaded with the help of lukewarm water and brought to the paste consistency.
  2. The chickpea-sized pieces of the obtained dough are picked up and soaked in our hands and rolled in the palm in the form of small meatballs.
  3. These meatballs are pressed with a pinky finger and shaped like a button and placed on a floured tray.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan for the sauce.
  5. Crushed garlic is lightly roasted, pepper paste and grated tomato are added and the sauce is made until the tomatoes are cooked.
  6. Meatballs are poured into boiling water and boiled for 5 minutes and taken to service plate with colander.
  7. The sauce is spread over the meatballs and finally garnished with finely chopped parsley. Bon Appetit.
